I’m a 19 year old or from Texas. I was greatly saddened when my dad tolled me about Steve’s death. I really thought he was joking. I couldn’t believe it; I’d grown up watching him. I even had a crush on him when I was younger. He was a man after my own heart. I love animals just as he did. He was the one who made me love them even more. The animals that no one really liked, the snakes, bugs, croc’s, alligators, and the like. He gave me that deeper understanding of them. Not to be afraid, but to respect and love those animals that are “unlovable”.
I’ll never forget him and pray for his family and friends over there. I’d always wanted to go over to Australia and Thank him for his work and what he had given to me and many others. My heart is with you Terry, Bindi and little Bob. There are not words to say when you lose a life partner, a dad and a friend. But I pray that God will give you comfort and grace to handle your loss.

Thank you Steve for your work and the Love you showed for all animals, your friends and you’re Family. (I could tell that with Steve there wasn’t much difference between the three.) Much Love you all the Irwins!
