Beautiful because it was so touching. Infuriating because it felt unfair, even to a non-fan like me.
I kept wishing it was not true. I guess I was mad because the whole situation was so outlandish! It did not seem to fit in. It was surreal.
Terri, I saw you clench your fist while you held your children, in tears. It moved me to tears. Obviously you are very angry. But it is the type of anger that hides very deep sadness. I am so sorry that you are going through this unbelievable time. Sometimes we hit turning points in our lives, and they seldom come with warnings. You are sharing a dramatic turning point in front of the world. But be assured that many people empathize, and wish they were closer to help you.
Bindi, you made me so proud! What a doll you are! I was so happy when you not only got two standing ovations, but also heard those "Bindi, I love you" cries among the crowd. Bindi, that is how the world feels, little girl. The entire world loves you, and is willing to support your career. Not only do you look like daddy, you lived long enough for that seed to start growing in your heart. I know you'll be a remarkable lady-conservationist, exactly the kind we need at the present.
Well, I let it all out.
Terri, just hope sometime you get the strength to read what the world wrote for you. Bindi and Bobby, be strong for mommy. And Terri, I hope you can manage well enough, so little Bindi won't feel the need to grow older sooner than she needs to. It is a very difficult time, but few of us going through times like this have the admiration, love and support of millions. Give it all the time you need, sweetheart. You are not alone.
Wanda
