I hope that Animal Planet will replay the memorial service repeatedly. Many of us didn't know it was airing last night and missed it-I didn't know until this morning's national news played clips. I feel many of us need some sort of healing to deal with Steve's death, and I'm hoping Animal Planet will show us compassion and give us another chance to see this event. The world is grieving. Stevo, because of you this reptile-hating Texan ended up rescuing an Austrialian Bearded Dragon and abandoned her "the only good snake is a dead snake" attitude. Now I love reptiles and have ultimate respect for all animals. You taught more than animal conservation, you taught compassion and tolerance for all living creatures.
I also hope that they show it again.I don't have Animal Planet but I'm hoping to find someone with a satile dish that can get it.I was really depressed about missing it.
I wish they would replay it on Discovery Channel so even more people can see it. They should also replay it on a network like CBS,NBC and ABC(the US version). There were some Steve Irwin programs on NBC primetime.
It was a beautiful service, I was in tears almost the entire time, and when Bindi came out and spoke...totally lost it......I bet they will play it again, but a lot of what was scheduled over the last 2 weeks wasn't actually on because they were playing stuff in memory of him, so I am thinking it may be harder to find. Hopefully they will put out a nice box set of all his shows on DVD. Peace and comfort........
I too would like it to be replayed. We don't have Animal Planet or Discovery Channel. My hopes are that Comcast will make it available on their digital on demand service. I think the world needs to be a part of this. We are all so sad
I didn't know about it either!! I really hope they replay this sometime. I definitly would have watched it if I would have known, I only even heard about it today.
I emailed discovery about it - I really want to see this, I'm still struggling with the fact that he died.
I hopeing that you re-play the memorial service again, I did not see it but i have seen clips on the news. and loverly it was just the few minits i did see, and Bindi bring a tear to my eye, how that little girl did not cry i never know, she is a great rock for her mother Terri and borother Bob, She a chip off her father block and she just shines just the same as Steve you can tell just how much she taken in what her father has shown her. I was sad to miss this as i do watch this program a lot as im a fan of Steve and his work, but liveing in the UK i missed it with the time differnce.
This is the email I received back today Sept 20th from Animal Planet / Discovery Channel .

Steve was beloved by millions of fans and animal lovers around the world and was one of our planet's most passionate conservationists. He was a professional dedicated to educating people, and his legacy will be in making natural history more accessible to people around the world.
In remembrance of Steve, the link below will help you obtain more information regarding contributions and provide an opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings by posting comments on the fansite. Special airings of the Croc Hunter are scheduled this week, as well as programming tributes highlighting Steve?s background, including his early days as the Croc Hunter, and his passion for wildlife and his family.
I, too, hope they replay the memorial service as I missed it last night and saw it on the news this morning. He was a great person and a wonderful wildlife ambassador. We loved to watch Steve and Terri, they were a great team, and we will miss him very much and I agree with the person who said we all need some closure as he was a much loved icon.
Please replay the service it was at a time when I was working and unable to view the srevice with my daughter at 9pm pacific in Phoenix arizona. Many like myself need to see this for closure he was a part of so many families.and will be missed.
I hope they do replay it this weekend coming. I watched it last night and I was in tears especially when Bindi came up to speak about her dad. Everyone should have the chance to watch this, it will help heal your grief and celebrate the life and passion and love Steve gave to all life.
I cannot believe I missed this wonderful tribute. I pray they replay it, they have to. So many of us either did not know, our found not too late to tape it or watch it. I have searched all day for the video feed of the service, but could only find clips. Please Discovery, Animal Planet, please replay it..
I managed to catch the service at MIDNIGHT, it was very good but i had some difficulty waking up for school in the morning. They should show it during the day in America.
I'm throwing in my vote here. Please replay the memorial service. Due to the time confusion our kids were in bed when it played and I couldn't find my remote--where the ONLY "record" button resides...mind you I found the darn thing this morning.
Please replay the memorial...please? Otherwise I'd be willing to buy it if it meant my kids could still experience Steve. My youngest two are only 2 and 4 yrs old. My elder ones grew up watching him and they're 11, 13, 14 and 16.
yes i would like them to reply the memorial service or release it on dvd...i guarantee that if it was released to dvd that there will be LOTS of sales on it and have all the proceeds from the purchases go to his wildlife warriors foundation!
I dont know who here has the latin american animal planet but according to their site the Service will air again Sunday Sept. 24. 22:00 Miami time. Again this is on Latin Animal Planet so if anybody else watches that one you have the info here's the link http://animalplanetlatino.com/cazador_de_cocodrilos/steve_nada_igual/index.shtml
I request you replay the memorial service so that my kids (now grown) and I can sit in front of the TV and watch the Croc Hunter like the we had when they were so much younger. I am 49, the last time I cried was when Dale Earnhardt died. Dale Earnhardt was one of my Heros. I have lost another Hero. I want the chance to watch this with my Kids again. Had I known you were showing it at all I would have DVR'd the service. I know this sounds corny, but it was the best tribute I have ever seen. Replay it, Sell it, use it to raise money for his causes. We all need this, hell I think it would be bigger than the Super Bowl, the Indy 500 or Daytona. Thank you for bringing my family closer, and teaching us all.
PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, PLEASE REPLAY THE MEMORIAL SERVICE OF STEVE IRWIN. I DIDN'T KNOW WHEN IT WAS GOING TO BE AIRED SO I MISSED IT. HE WAS SUCH A PART OF OUR FAMILY AND WE ARE JUST DEVISTATED OVER HIS DEATH AND WE REALLY WANTED TO BE A PART OF IT. WE LOVE AND SEND OUR CONDOLENCES TO TERRY, BINDI, AND BOB. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH THEM. GOD BLESS, DELORIS SWEENEY
Steve was like a best friend I grew up with. Watching his show was the one thing the whole family could get together and do. Everyone laughed, sat together, and learned a whole lot. Still to this day when our family goes to Zoos, Aquariums, concervency, museums, I see and animal and the first thing I remember is something the Crock Hunter taught me about that animal. He made our family nights the BEST night of the week. He is TRULY missed in our home. Unfortunatly I missed his final goodbye and it's something I was looking forward to. I am one of the many many people who would like for it to be replayed. Not just for us but for Steve too. He was a person i felt like I knew even though I never met him. He will be missed! My prayers and thoughts are with Teri, Bindi, Bob, the rest of his family and his friends. Bindi was very lucky and she will make her Dad proud no matter what she does! She will be wonderful!
you can see the memorial on www.perezhilton.com you have to go thru a few pages but you will see a pic of terri and the kids from the memorial and the link is there. beprepared..you will need hankies!!
I don'tknow if you get the same broadcasts in australia as we get here in holland? It said in the newspaper that Steve's memorial was aired live at Thursday night at 01.00 hour (last night) and they would re-air it on sunday at 21.00 hour.
i was so sad to find out that i've missed the memorial service! is there any possibility that you might repeat it sometime...PLEASE. i live in south africa and would really like to see it. i checked our dstv schedule and saw that it was on wednesday morning at 1:00. maybe you can give a schedule for the repeat of it on your website and specify what times it will be showing in what countries.
my heart hurts for the whole irwin family and even though i didn't know mr. irwin personally, he was still part of our family.
may the Lord be with terri, bindi, bob jr and steve's extended family during this sad time...
my television has been tuned to Animal Planet for two and a half weeks, but I only saw a commercial for it twice. I think if I had missed it I would still be feeling really lost. It gave me a little bit of closure. I wish I could send my video tape to all of you.
I hope it is repeated on Discovery Channel as I dont get Animal Planet. I did see about 20minutes of it..only by mistake....I didnt know it was on I balled from what I did see though...especially when the elephants were brought on. I keep checking like crazy to see it on another channel..one can only hope!
The voice of the people will be heard if enough of us continue to make requests to Animal Planet for future releases of Steve and Terri's shows, specials, and the memorial service.
On another note, if Terri does not want the memorial service to be sold, then we all must respect her decision.
I just want to say thank you to neolissa for mentioning that we could see Steve's memorial service on the web site perezhilton.com.I got to see the whole service and I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.Thank you so much!
I too would like to see the memorial. I go to work at 2:00 in the morning. I tried to stay up for the service but I fell asleep before it came on. I beg you, Discovery Channel, please replay it!!!
I agree the Memorial Service should be retelecast some time soon, unless Irwin's family wishes otherwise. I watched it twice on Animal Planet, but still would like to see it again. If you missed it, you missed something really well done.
Humor and poignancy were rightly balanced. A lot of the Service had something funny about it: The appearance of Anthony Field (alias the Blue Wiggle). Videos of Steve's bloopers. Animal noise imitations being described as a "command of the Australian language". Spelling "Crikey" in yellow flowers. Yet it was incredibly sad when Steve's stuff was packed on the white truck (I suppose the same truck we've seen many times on the TV shows) while the fellow sang "True Blue". Seeing the truck driven off one last time brought a beautiful sense of closure. Then it really sunk into me, "He really, really is gone."
The two kids looked like they were taking it rather well, but I felt so sorry for Terri. She had that blank, shell-shocked, "I've been through misery" look on her face. I've you've ever lost a relative or friend, you might have been there.
The Memorial finished with the right note defiant, cheerful optimism. Anthony pumped his fists into the air and yelled "Crocs Rule!"
If you have not seen the momorial in its entirety and it re-airs on the Animal Planet...you have just got to see it! It was beautiful and so emotional.I ached for Terri and I still do. It was as if Steve arranged the ceremony himself, if you can imagine that. I hope that the Discovery Channel makes a DVD for it and the proceeds go entirely to Australia Zoo or conservation.
Thank-you to the Animal Planet for bringing Steve Irwin and his family into our homes.
I, too, am one of those unable to see it because I was at work. I prayed that the second airing would be late enough but it was not to be. My mother saw both shows and she told me it was so beautiful. Let me put in my vote to have it reaired and put on DVD. I am still in mourning and I feel this would help put some closure to this tragedy. God Bless Terri, Bindy Sue and Baby Bob, along with each and every one of the Australia Zoo family. Terri, Denver CO.
HERE'S AN ADDRESS TO THE FULL COVERAGE OF THE SERVICE
http://mp3.news.com.au/bcm/irwin-funeral.html
I know it would be better being aired again (I agree, I would like to see it aired again too).. but for those of you who completely missed it, or want to watch it again for now, i'm glad to be able to show you this site as someone else showed me..
Here is a link you can follow to view the entire memorial service online:

However, I have to disagree as far as replaying the service goes, my feelings are that it would be rather inappropriate. We were fortunate enough to have been able to recieve the broadcast, but do any of us want to struggle with having to say farewell over and over again?
Sorry - didn't see the previous post with the duplicate link. And I don't want to seem negative about the airing. The memorial brought some closure to me finally, but I am still having a hard time coming to grips with what has happened. I couldn't imagine having to sit through it again. It was what it should have been... a final goodbye.
yes, but by your own admission, watching the memorial helped bring you some closure. don't you think the others who missed it might benefit from seeing it as well? if you don't want to see it again, then don't. but how is it inappropriate for others to want to see it rebroadcast? steve was very important to alot o people.
PLEASE ANIMAL PLANET, HAVE A HEART! I would like to request not only the memorial service to be replayed, but also Steve's Story and the Crock Diaries which gave us more insight on Steve Irwin. His death has affected me more that probably any other person I have known to have died and I didn't even meet him. I want to be able to watch this with my family and discuss what beautiful qualities Steve had and how my family can be more like him.
Another idea would be to have these all available on DVD for us to watch again and again.
i was gutted that iw was not shown here in the uk. but browsing through the tv listings on sky i found that it is being shown on the animal planet chanel 535 at 9pm this sunday 24th sept. and is repeated at 10pm on animal planet plus 1. hope it helps. love you steve and family xxx
please, please, please replay the memorial service so meny poeple did not get to see it and my one friend was crying because he missed it and I know atleast 1/2 of south carolina missed it due to cable problems I ask again could you please replay it or put it out on dvd or vidio, that way the money made from selling them could go to terri and the family. But please give advance notice for people to be ready..Our prayers and sadness goes out to the Irwin family and friends, and all of australians you lost a good person from your community.. Linda
Yes... I was on outdoor ed. I missed it D: I've seen parts on youtube.. but definently not the entire thing. We would all love it if Animal Planet replayed it many times. Thankyou Sarah.
On this other topic ericms posted this and it works, I got the full memorial on my computer now:
