We wish to extend our love and prayers to Steve's family and friends. Words alone cannot express what we feel, we want to let you know that we share your loss, tears and and love. Steve, Terri and their children have been in our home for so long. Cartoons? Forget it! My children wanted to see the 'Crocodile Man'. An awareness of our wildlife and 'furry friends' was achieved through the dedication and passion that was Steve. His childlike wonder and excitement about life has filled the world and our homes, what an amazing gift. Thank you.

One day I was going to the store and a car was stopped in front of me on a four lane highway. A six foot aligator was trying to cross the lanes and medium. It's mouth was open and you could see it was very scared. I stopped traffic in all four lanes, called '911' and kept watch over it til help came. One guy got a roll of ducktape and was going to try to catch it. Thank goodness the cops showed up and put a rope around it and put it back in the canal. I was thinking 'Steve Irwin' where are you? We live in Southeast Texas with lots of refineries and canals. And yes, we have a lot of aligators. What I have learned from Steve is not to be afraid but respectful and caring about theses animals.

My husband and children and fellow officers at the Sheriff's Dept also extend their heartfelt condolences and prayers. Steve and his family will always be a part of our family.

Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
