I've been watching The Crocodile Hunter since I was about nine years old, and I will never forget when I first saw Steve Irwin on the tv. I saw him just walking up to a crocodile, and I turned to my dad and said "Look at that guy! He must be crazy!", and my dad proceeded to explain to me that even though he may look like he's crazy, he is really saving that crocodile's life. And ever since that moment I have thought of Steve Irwin as an amazing man. It's oddly enough how one show can bring a family together, but it never failed in my family. We always would sit down on the couch together and watch The Crocodile Hunter and comment on what he was doing that night. In some ways it feels like I grew up with Steve Irwin, I remember when he caught Charlie, When Bindi was born, when he rescued Terri from that snake on their honeymoon, and so on. I was absolutely shocked to hear of his death, I couldn't believe it, and in so many ways I still don't. It hurts me that he won't get to fulfill all his goals in life, yet it makes me proud to know that Terri, Bindi, Bob, and all Steve's other family and friend's will work hard to get those goals accomplished. In conclusion I want to send out my thanks to Steve and Terri and everyone else on their team who have enough courage to do what a lot of other people were too afraid to do. My heart goes out to the whole Irwin family and their friends. We will miss Steve Irwin deeply.
