Once upon a time there was a man,
from who a great legacy began.
His belief in the need for conservation
was taught to children in many a nation,
where he educated the masses
better than any high school classes.

He taught us to not be frightened
and our minds he did enlighten
of the animals we tend to forget
or perceive only as a constant threat.
The superhero of the animal kingdom,
he willing shared his incredible wisdom.

A man who stood out without a doubt
who stood up and counted with a shout,
“Crikey” will forever be his catch phrase,
he will be part of me all of my days--

He shall always be remembered as the man
whose way of life and dedication began
a change in the heart of many a man.
May his family follow his devout plan
to continue to believe in what he stood for
and care for the wonderful creatures he adored.

It is with great sadness that we say “Good-Bye”
to the animal kingdoms greatest ally,
He shall be greatly missed worldwide
and may his work never subside,
and his memory never die.
