I also wanted to post this on the "In Memoriam" board as well. Bindi did an incredible job last night. She went out there, in front of thousands of people, without hesitation, took her place beneath her dad's picture, held her head up high and in a strong and clear voice did her dad proud. And you know, that is just to show the world what she will do as an adult, that when the time comes, she will do another incredible job, she will go out there, in front of thousands of people, without hesitation, and take her place beneath her dad, hold her head up high and in a strong and clear voice, do her dad proud. She and Robert are their dad's legacy.
Bindi, You did a fantastic job! You are a very brave young lady. I know how proud your dad is of you. I know in the years to come, both you and Bob will follow in his footsteps! Stay strong, sweetie! Love, Melanie

Bindi did such a great job! though i didn't have the chance to watch the memorial on tv live, through the newspaper the next day i can see that Bindi was so brave,so strong for her age. she looked so calm, reading out loud her memorial letter to thousands of people.i'm so proud of her. and yes, she'll definetely do her family proud when she grows up,following in her dad Steve's and grandpa,Bob's footsteps helping even more animals. I will be watching and praying for You, Your beautiful Mom, and your brother Bob, along with your Grandpa who has so much to teach you....and all your wonderful and supportive friends......Keep Strong and BELIEVE..... Amen! Even though I was watching on tv...when Bindi came out and everyone there stood and applauded her...I stood and applauded her in my living room feeling so emotional, yet so proud of her, too. Thank-you Bindi for being such a powerful presence like your dad. God Bless You and Your Family and everyone at Australia Zoo, including the animals. Please hug your mom for us.
I agree. Bindi is such a wonderful little girl. She had me in tears. Her loss is so great. I just know she's going to take the Australia Zoo into the next generation. And I wish you the best of luck sweetie! It is my dearest wish to meet her somedaqy, or even just see her at the Zoo.
