Yes, they're all quite true. Groceries have used this sort of packaging material for several years now to reduce spoilage. Trapped ethylene dramatically speeds ripening - and spoilage. Venting it dramatically improves keeping. The only startling thing about Debbie's product is the outrageously high price, which is close to a hundred times what the bags she's selling are worth. A cheaper alternative which is nearly as good: brown paper bags. They keep produce from sitting in water, and they are fairly good at venting ethylene, though not as good as the designer plastics.

First posting touting the marvelous qualities of this particular product, even though ANYONE who actually watches the show should know that the Mythbusters do not do specific product testing.

I don't think he's "touting the marvelous qualities" of green bags, he clearly wants to know if it's true or not! I came to this site and signed up for account to ask the very same question, except I think they should try out many different methods that are supposed to prolong the freshness of fruits and vegetables.
