I dont know if anyone else has heard this myth, but I have heard a few times in passing, that it is possible to see what a dead person last saw by decapitating them, placing thier head upside down, and using somekind of light source to display thier last image, much like a projector would. Come to think of it; I suppose this idea could be posted under the "movie ideas" catagory, since there was an example of this myth in the movie "Wild Wild West" starring Will Smith....but hey, this works too right?

I think I heard that somewhere, but I really, REALLY doubt that would work. It sounds like something out of a cartoon.

It would no more work than if you took a picture on your digital camera, wiped the memory card, and then tried to view the last image on the imager-Ir's GONE!

It's actually an old superstition, dating back at least to the middle ages. There is no truth to it. Trying to see an image on the back of the eye is like trying to see an image on your camera's CCD imager. It's just a grey hunk of silicon, and the imaging part of your eye is just a collection of cells made into rods and cones.
