In the John Wayne movie, El Dorado, James Cann jumped in front of and laid on the ground in the path of a galloping horse. When asked by John Wayne's character why he did this, he stated that a horse will not step on a person laying on the ground.
Any possible truth to it?

it wouldnt call it compeletly busted. I've fallen in front of a cantering horse before, and i was fine. I probably depends on the situation, and the horse. I think that probably, more riding horses, unless in an extreme situation, would try to avoid stepping on people.
