Would this put an end to the moon landing myth. If the Mythbusters were allowed to use a powerful observatory to view the landing site on the moon and look for any evidence of a moon landing.
If someone started running tours to the Apollo landing sites tomorrow, some wacko would still claim that it was all fake and didn't happen in 1969 and the 70s.
No land base observatory or the Hubble has the resolution to see what items are on the moon's surface. If they do, why would we send satellites and rovers to Mars. Just look through the telescope. These observatories are designed to look for space phenomena like comets, quasars, pulsars, galaxies, etc. In other words BIG things.
I've read recently than even with the Hubble telescope they wouldn't be able to see any evidence or objects at all related to any of the Apollo missions. Also same book said that the original flag I think it was Aldrin who planted in, was barely in the ground, supported by two or three moon rocks he put there to balance it. The flag stood out straight because NASA engineers put a horizontal rod which hung it down from the top of the flag pole. There is footage from the lunar ascent module, when they launched from the moon back to the lunar module in orbit, that the camera picked up the flag falling down under the thrust of the ascent motor.

No, of course not. Like all other reasonable explanations of the conspiracy theorists bizarre distortions of reality, it would be ignored, and if it were extremely reasonable the show and its cast would be labeled part of the conspiracy.
For what it's worth, no current telescope has the resolution to see such details.
Just got off the phone with nasa, they are ready to shoot the next moon landing at studio B area 51. I hear in the future they a planning another moon landing but they are gonna shoot it now and when the date comes that they’re "supposedly” landing on the moon, that's when they will air the tape.
There will still be skeptics, conspiracy theorists and disbelievers. Also, it would be deadly boring. Where is the Mythbuster's spirit in this?
Thanks for reminding me, tomorrow is my flat earth society meeting. LoL You're right, there will be conspiracy theorists. I just love to make fun of the conspiracies.
However, the surrounding lunar surface is reflecting waves, and the metal poles are reflecting a different amount. I wouldn't be surprised if this difference between the two could be picked up as a radio image - much better than an optical image.
Many astronomical objects are not only observable in visible light but also emit radiation at radio wavelegths. Besides observing energetic objects such as pulsars and quasars, radio telescopes are able to "image" most astronomical objects such as, galaxies, nebulae, and even radio emissions from *PLANETS*.
