I was experiencing a problem a few years ago and had gone to see a psychiatrist. Every time I got into bed I would get this fear that there was somebody under it. If I got under the bed; I would fear there was somebody on top of it. Top, under, under top. I was going crazy and not getting any sleep!
The doc said, "Just put yourself in my hands for two years, Come to me three times a week and I'll cure you." When I asked him, "How much do you charge?" The shrink replied, "A hundred dollars per visit." I told him, "I'll think about it."
I never went back, but saw him on the street the next month. "Why didn't you come back?" he said, and I told him my bartender cured my problem instantly for 10 bucks.
"Impossible!" he cried. "You require years of therapy! How could he have done it instantly?"
"Simple." I replied. "He had me saw the legs off the bed."
I related this joke in response to the above post. Simply wear wind-up watches, or superglue a non-conducting disk to the back of your watch.

Actually , this situation is awesome , if you believe there is a real phenomenon to work out , you have the perfect control . Talk to both family members and determine what activities they do differently like , type of commute , hobbies , taste in clothing , appliances , carpeting , and any other factor you can rule out . Something they do different , if it is as simple as one getting their clothes dry-cleaned and the other pressing their own clothes , has to give you a clue to what is really happening . The joke, by the way , I thought was funny.
