Just wanted to share this with the oogie boogie board.

My Wife and I had been trying to get pregnant shorlty after we got married. ( 11/03/1990 ) To no avail. We find out my wife was born with a condiditon due to medication her mother was given while pregnant with my wife. Through many failed attemps through a fertility clinic. My wife asked to divoce me becuase she couldn't give me a child.

In Feb 2002 we get to what would be our last try at an IVF treatment. In Pennsylvania fertility treatments aren't covered. We spent close to 75,000.00 out of pocket.

On Feb 15th 2002 we get the news she is pregnant. We go in for an ultrasound, she is pregnant with twins. 2 days later she comes home from work bleeding horribly. Fearing the worst we get an emergency ultrasound shceduled for 1st thing in the AM. Worst night in my life!

That night I have a dream. I'm standing there talking to my uncle ( my Dads brother ) I'm telling him about whats going on with the pregnancy. A man in a hat standing to the other side of me says " don't worry son, she's still pregnant." As soon as we wake up in the moring I told her she was still pregnant. I tell her about th dream. But held back some information about this dream. We get to the Dr's office, the ultrasound confirms she is still pregnant with 1 embryo and they can even see the hart beat now. The Dr. and the Nurse walk out, I get out of control crying. I then give her the rest of the information about the dream. In the dream I ask My uncle who was the man that just told me not to worry. He Tells me "thats your grandfather " ( who died in 1991 ) But he was a young man in my dream so I didn't know who he was. Back ground on my Grandfather. He raised homing pidgeons. The entire time my wife was pregnant there were pidgeons on the roof of my house every day. Baby boy was born on Oct 29th 2002. Never saw another pidgeon on my roof untill, November 2004. I told her to take a pregnancy test. She thought I was nuts. The pee stick said Pregnant. Happened all by it's self. The pidgeons were back. My 2nd son was born 7/27/05. I have not seen another pidgeon on my roof since then. I look up at the roof everday.

I really hate to burst your bubble, but your mind has taken a lot of disconnected pieces and assembled it into a dream that is really nothing more than wishful thinking. Dreams have no influence on reality. I realize that if you are a True Believer, nothing I can say will change your mind, but the truth is still that dreams have nothing to do with reality. I have always loved a statement made by someone once, that "Dreams are your brain playing with itself." I am very happy that you have two great kids, and wish you much happiness. Human reproduction takes some strange curves at times.
It has almost become a cliche abouthe couple who tried and tried and tried to get pregnant, gave up and adopted. Shortly after adopting the woman finds she is now pregnant. Go figure.

I do believe people who have passed can come bearing messages. A lot of the time that's how people know when they're going to die. Unsolveable mysteries are the best.

daretheygo - speaking of winning a lottery...I had a dream one night, it's a recurring dream that I'm trying to make a phonecall. Various things keep me from making this call - sometimes I'm dropping my money, other times I can't see the dial, other times I can't dial the number right. This time I had no money and was at a phone booth. I'm wondering what to do and all of a sudden the phone rings. I answer it and there's nobody on the line but a ton of coins come pouring out of the phone. THAT has never happened before

Next morning, I woke up late and noticed my message light was blinking. I hadn't heard the phone ring, or, well I didn't think I had. It was a lady from the SPCA who left the message, that was unusual but I'm a regular supporter so maybe she's okay with leaving me a message telling me they're selling calendars or something. I phoned her back and she said "you played our lottery and I'm just letting you know that you won $2500."

daretheygo, I say if it gives you comfort, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I don't tell my story often because most don't understand it and most will try to tie a logical explanation to it. I have twice experienced things similar to you with dreams. I have no explanation - only the stories.

The first was 6 years ago. I had been out with a friend of mine who was on leave from the Air Force. We were out late and I was in places I shouldn't have been. I got home around 2:00 am, got something to eat and was asleep around 3:00. I woke up at exactly 5:03 with my heart pounding. I had been having a dream where my mother had been telling me not to worry, she was okay, and she didn't hurt anymore (from lifelong back problems). I got up, went to the bathroom and back to bed. My dad called me around 10:00 to tell me she had died and had thought she was just sleeping in. The coroner ruled the time of death at 5:00 am.

The second time was when my wife's grandmother died. Yes, they knew it was coming but they had given up hope that it was going to happen while the family was in town. At 6:15, I woke up from a dream that she was in. She was there with her daughter (died from breast cancer) and my mother. In the dream, she told me to "remind them to check the vase". My wife called a few minutes later and I told her that her grandmother had just died. While I was on the phone with her, the hospital was calling her mother on her phone. Everybody was pretty freaked out. Later, they found letters written to each of them in the vase next to her hospital bed.

You are the only one of us inside your own head so no one can see it from your point-of-view. There's more I could say but I won't.

Like I said, if it gives you comfort ...

A few weeks ago I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant, and my fortune cookie said that an old friend was about to come back into my life. Later that day, I received word that my ex-wife's oldest daughter was looking for me. I got in touch with her, and we re-connected. I haven't seen her in years, and our reunion has been great.

Was it because of the fortune cookie? Nah, don't think so, but what an interesting coincidence.

The real wierd thing is when I was about 17yrs old. Some how I figured out how to take control of my dreams. When your running and your going nowhere, trying to scream and nothing comes out. Some strange thing in my mind happened to allow me to change the corse of whats happening. Like falling and all of the sudden I sprout wings and fly, getting mugged, I beat up the muggers, some one I love gets mortally wounded, I cure them. However, as soon as I willing change the corse of the dream it stops abruptly. I think it's my minds way of telling me I have the ability to change within my self as well change things around me in order to help others.
