there was a mayor panick in the german province rheinland westfalen .where I work at a showjumping yard , on the news there was an report of a black panther that escaped from a private collector of exotic animals , the police and forest wardens have thus far been unable to find the animal .Iam a bit worried about this for our yard is at the forest edge the horses are being kept in for the time being but what can one do when you encounter such an animal by the way the owner has been arrested for illegaly keeping large cats.we keep the outdoor riding arena,s lights on during the night could this keep a large cat out?

Horses are usually pretty good about scaring off predators. If you have a mule that is even better, they will attack the cat if it shows up.

I wondered where the Beast of Bodmin went for his holidays.

somewhat between 2004 and 2006, a pet couger escaped from its cage at Andrew Air Force Base. The area schools had to cancel recess. As far as safety, I think you are susposed to raise your hands, yell, throw things at the cat, and show it you are bigger and badder. NEVER NEVER run, for that will trigger an attack.

I think that maybe if it was an animal raised in captivity, then it never learned to hunt, your horses being large animals may be something the cat wouldn't attempt.
