The schematic shows a radio receiver. Think about it.

I have used the Frank's Box a few times. The device does what it claims, however, quantifying the source of the received voice is what cannot be done for sure.

What I know is this: I have a box that receives, but has no ability to transmit, and I "connect" with "someone/something" that gives direct answers to questions posed. I have applied the scientific method and have experienced repeated results.

I have always wondered why anything of this nature immediately receives the lable of "BS," prior to being tested and tried and quantified. Why does that sort of arrogance exist amongst minds that deem themselves intelligent and pragamatic and scientific?

The eternal whine of the pseudo-scientist, that the establishment is so closed minded. What on earth do you mean by the scientific method? Was it a double blind, quantifiable experiment? If so, you qualify for the Randi $1M. Like Randi, I really want you to succeed, but experience tells me you will fail. Scientists really do get excited about new things, but they are understandably cranky about the rules of evidence.

The reason why it's labelled "BS", is because so many nearly identical claims have been made, that follow a pattern of presenting an appearance of extraordinariness, yet are soon proved "BS".

If you can't quantify the source, you aren't running a scientific experiment. It's just a parlor game.

I honestly don't wish to offend, but it is clear from your posting that you do not understand what the scientific method is, let alone how to apply it.

And this device is not a "myth" it is just an obvious hoax. Nothing more.

When I lived in New Mexico, there were a lot of religious radio stations, filling the airwaves 24/7 with evangelists. We used to play a game when we got bored that was fun and got some hilariouis results. Find a good strong station with one of those old-fashioned fire and brimstone preachers, then take turns playing. To play, have one of the other players turn the volume down to where you can't hear it. You ask a question, any question on any subject. As soon as you ask the question, the radio controller cranks up the volume, and whatever the preacher says next is the answer. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but give it a try sometime. On a good night, the results will have you rolling on the floor.

i've witnessed the franks box in action. My wife and i we're at the stanley hotel in estes park colorado. on a ghost retreat with the ghost hunters and patrick burns, chris flemming, etc. a long story short ,i watched chris moon use the device. this device will cycle through am and fm radio frequency.chris holds an intena made from regular wire and a mic to communicate.problem i have a friend who has a ham radio license. there are mobile cbs on the market that can run upper and lower side band that lets you slide between frequency. they also let you scan frequency to pick up broadcast.then the frequency counter stops and you can communicate.i think someone is in the weeds with a cb. chris only lets you ask yes and no questions. i dont know but i'm going to be fortunate enough to do a little test with chris moon. he will be coming to where i live to do an investigation with a fellow ghost hunter and i was invited so i will keep you all posted.

Someone has had luck with using the Frank Box?
I would love to hear more about that. I would like to build one of my own.

Hey Scott,

Did the transmissions you heard sound rather like breaking into someones cell phone conversations or do you think you actually spoke with the dead? I would like to know more about your success.

Oh and who informed you of what true reality is? I have a crazy idea, why don't you consider things, just consider them, I'm not asking you to have an open mind, that would be way out of the question but just consider for one moment that things aren't exactly they way you think they should be, some things don't fit into your nice little paradigm, the scientific method may be greatly flawed. But what do I know. If people keep responding to strange and new things like you did maybe we can all just sit here, unchanged, shopping at macy's and eating at wendys for hundreds and hundreds of years. Oh what a joyous day.

Macy's has overpriced garbage and eating at Wendy's everyday will kill you. Having an open mind about the paranormal isn't really being open minded, it's really being closed minded to reality. The reality is, talking to the dead, ghosts, bigfoot, curving bullets, and leprechaun's are BS.

Right, because the last 400 years we've been using the scientific method had been utterly changeless and boring. In fact, the era before the use of scientific method was static and boring when people died knowing the same things and using the same tools as their parents and grandparents.

People don't like scientific methods because it reveals things the way they are, not the way we would like them to be.

For all the negative smartass comments on this forum: If you don't believe it then go find something better to do? This is obviously and hobby or interest that is serious or important to some people.

How about you walk into a church next time they gather and rub it in their faces that their bible is a work of fiction and it's skeptical literature. Oh but of course you wouldn't I'm sure, hypocrites.
