Myth: Talking about disgusting or offensive topics during meal time can curb an appetite. I can talk about anything, so it won't affect me in any way. My wife said I'm wrong.

This is sort of a subjective thing because it would really depend on how sensitive (or hungry) a person is; everybody is different.

I could probably eat through most topics... but my sister can lose her appetite from a simple belch.

Depends on what one discusses, I guess..

A graphic description of a heart-transplant could turn anyone of their lunch, I guessBig Grin

Or a discussion of the latest body coming into the mortuary..Big Grin

It also depends on the person.

A surgeon would find a conversation about open heart techniques interesting, not to mention what a mortician would find good conversation.
