If you drop a frozen trukey into a deep fryer, does the oil explode everywhere?

ugh... go to physics class. a frozen turkey has ALOT of water in it. when it hits the oil the water begins to boil/vaporize instantly causeing the oil to bublble violently leaking out of the pot/kettle/{w/e}, and the oil leaks over your heat source more than likely igniting. so dont put a frozen food into a vat of hot oil unless you wanna file an insurance claim for fire damage.

Even with a thawed turkey, you'd want to slowly lower it into the pot, NOT drop it in fast (which could result in hot oil splashing out)

I suggest googling turkey fryer fires, as you will have enough reading to keep you busy till next Thanksgiving!
