While they busted that MARBLE CELLAR SPIDERS are able to bite humans, they never did DADDY LONG LEGS.

There is no such thing as an official "Daddy Long Legs". It's a folk term is not tied to a specific species of creature.

If you called your cat "Daddy Long Legs", you'd be just as right.

Having said that, the Cellar spider used on the show is what I always heard called Daddy Long Legs in San Francisco.
