I have allot of myths and i bet i can find more.
1. Towel Trick for the 360 does it really get fixed by over heating it even more?
2.Could a 360 explode like a hand grenade if it over heats too much?
3. Can you get fit from wii fit?
4. Is a human actually able to get 100% on Guitar Hero 3's Dragon Force Threw the Fire and the Flames on expert?
5. In halo 2 Bungie purposely Made "glitches" not easter eggs.
6. Halo 2 had few testers.
7. Music games and file make the old 360's cd drive fail faster.
8. Microsoft 360 is designed to fail when multiple games are played for an excess of 1-2 weeks in order to get more money.
9. 360 wired controllers are tougher because they don't rely on the battery pack
10. Gears of War has no story. people are saying I have played and it seems to have a story.
11. Myth Busters will invite me and my Red Ring Of death hero 360.
I have tried the towel trick and just turning it off for a minute and i am sure its the R.R.O.D.
it worked both times for me and i did the towel trick wrong.

sorry for double posting but its not letting me edit my post.

1 more thing Microsoft Made the age restriction against parents will and you have to be 18 to download 17+ items off the Xbox 360 marketplace like expansions for maps game demos and game videos to my knowledge they don't have sexual content on the market place. also its a rumor a rumor that they did this for Jack Thompson to STFU and or for the politicians to STFU.

my only question is: if you have a badly scratched up disc that won't play, can you get it back to working order by rubbing toothpaste on the clear surface?

This would be incredibly awsome episode. But, I think you are getting the video game myths wrong. A video game myth is a IN-GAME myth, for example, with a cannon, could you launch a circular saw out of a cannon, will it lodge itself into the concrete wall you were shooting at? Would it stick in other hard materials? (For anyone whos wondering, thats from Half-Life 2.)
For another example, could you shoot open a unlocked door (like you were being chased by zombies and you didn't have time to open a door, so you unload a clip into it from a distance and it slams open).

Thats what a videogame myth, for what you people are posting, it would be classified as a "Console Myth" not a videogame myth.

When my PS1 got old it wouldn't read the cd's. the only way it worked was upside down and the same happened to my friends.

Also when the first generation nintendo wouldnt read the games we would always blow in them to make it work.

Barrettm95 "My parents told me the AC adapter would overheat and just burst into flames." Actually this is true, because even though your game system is plugged in the ac adapter keeps taking more power and when it takes too much, well you get the idea

I don't know about newer systems but me and my friend pulled out his super nintendo from under his tv, and turns out the last time he used it, which was probably a couple years ago, he didnt turn it off, so it had been on for a couple years and didnt explode, it just doesnt work anymore.
