I doubt it makes your reaction speed that much better.

What you do get is better Eye-Hand coordination, this means that you can do something with your hands without having to look at what you're doing.

This doesn't mean you get awesome skills at anything that requires good coordination though, just that you're able to stop clicking the A button and start clicking the B button faster Wink

You're reaction speed while driving depends on the speed you're driving at, how well you know the car, how good you are at driving as well as how long it takes for your eyes to see the problem then your brain has to understand what you are seeing, send the signals and THEN you step on the break.
All in all I doubt you'll be much faster but it might be worth a try to use it as an excuse to play games Wink
I'd disagree about the better pilot driver etc statement. Pilots are trained using simulators which are in essence games, there is a pc training program coming out for motorsport drivers called iRacing although they don't like to call it a game, in reality it really is because I can go buy a steering wheel and enjoy myself doing laps on a track. There are certain driving sims/games that do help me drive with more confidence and allow me to anticipate a real car's reaction to various inputs.
Yes...No. Read my previous comments on this subject under my previous name "c26bt34c." Pilots use simulators....and they ARE NOTHING LIKE A VIDEO GAME. I just know...I flew my share of sim rides in the navy...

Being good at video games...makes you better at video games. They do not make you a better driver, motor cycle rider, fighter, musician, pilot, athlete.... All they do is WASTE time..and make you weak.

this one's a bit of a new invention, but i know if i leave my PS3 active long enoguh, it puts out a lot of heat, so potentially, if you locked it in a cabinet with no ventilation and a bunch of disks and whaqt not and just played it for hours on end, eventually would something; including the ps3 itself, catch on fire or melt?

No. The processor/hard drive/motherboard would over heat and fail.
Consoles are just simplified computers, but are getting to be more and more like desktops.

I know one but if this is already said then I am sorry.
Does Wii really help you to get fit?
I am really wondering because I just sit down and play it.

Here's a myth from the Wikipedia article for an arcade game called Blaster.

"Like racing games of the time that utilized pseudo 3d graphics, Blaster was available in sit-down cockpit. It was also available in standard wood upright cabinets and in black plastic cabinets called 'Duramold'.
Only two games were ever made using 'Duramold' cabinets. Bubbles was the other one (although a few Sinistar test machines were Duramolds).
While the Duramold cabinets were a good idea, there is a very good reason why Williams stopped making them. Jarvis notes that they had a tendency to shrink, and cites an incident involving a Duramold cabinet where the internal pressure had increased to a point where the monitor was ejected from the machine, and subsequently destroyed a Donkey Kong Jr. machine. 'Fortunately, there were no other injuries', according to Jarvis."

Internal pressure building to the point that it can launch a monitor with enough for to destroy property? If that's not right up the Mythbusters' alley, I don't know what is!
My parents told me the AC adaptor would overheat and just burst into flames
As some one who's house has burnt down, losing everything, when the power pack for my game boy DS caught fire while charging the unit, I would have to say that it is not a myth. Its interesting to note that it was plugged into an overload protected power board in turn plugged into a 10000W surge protector in turn wired into a 10a earth leakage protected circuit in my house. So let my loss be your lesson, NEVER LEAVE POWER PACKS OR POWER ADAPTERS TURNED ON.

What about the Wiimote through the TV?

I think it's a complete hoax how you can throw a Wii remote through the PLASTIC of the TV.

Here's what I mean:

I don't know what you mean by "Rings of Death" since I don't own a 360, but as far as the weapons I think you guys are going a little too far with the plasma cannons and other out-of-budget things. Although I must admit some of those thigns coming into existence would be kinda cool...

I have two myths, both are from gears of war. I am VERY skeptical of these myths but I would love to be proven wrong.
1. Can you make an automatic rifle with a chainsaw bayonet small and light enough to be used as a common weapon in combat?
2. In the game you have "chainsaw duels" in which two characters press their chansaw bayonets together and push until one gives up and is violently eviscerated. Could a similar scenario be remotely possible? I.E. Would the chainsaws even stay together? Would they be of any use afterwards? Could one made of a better metal cut through another? Etc.

I love the thought of the Mythbusters doing a video game special.

Here's one: The old NES game system had the game Mike Tyson's Punch Out! Somewhere along the line the Mike Tyson name was dropped from the title and his character in the game replaced. Why was this?

I've heard two reasons. One was that it happened as a result of him being convicted in 1992 of raping then Miss America. The other reason is simply that they had a contract with him to put his name on there and it just expired.
