I have several hockey related myths to test.
There is an old Hockey story that goes like this: the owner of the original Vancouver team was so cheap that he bought his pucks at a local department store. One night a player took a hard shot and the puck hit the goalpost square on. It split in two with half going in and half staying out. The team was awarded half a goal. Myth: can a player shoot a puck hard enough to split it into two?
Myth: the NHL freezes pucks prior to a game supposedly because they bounce less and slide better. Is this true?
Myth: modern composite sticks are said to break more often during play than the old wooden sticks. But maybe today's players put more pressure on the stick. Do composite sticks really break more easily?
