Using a Clothes Dryer to pop popcorn

Not if it's working right. Popcorn needs to be heated to 356° F to pop. Now I've never actually stuck a thermometer in there, but when I pull a load of cloths out of the dryer at the end of the cycle, they aren't NEARLY that hot.
