What would happen if you melted sparkley crayons in the Microwave? I know someone who has tried it and they say that it exploded. Why did it do this? And was it just the microwave, or does this always happen?

PS. How do you spell Sparkley? Sparkely? Sparkly..... None of us here know how!

I spell it " glitter ".

Do you mean the microwave explodes or the crayon ?

I don't think microwave ovens typically make blast craters when they have crayons in them.

It could damage the microwave, so it no longer functions though .
