I fear driving. Getting behind the wheel of a car scares me terribly. I still do it, of course. I've been driving for at least 10 years and only got in a minor wreck once. Still, I've always been scared to drive. I can't help but to feel like I'm going to cause some terrible accident and kill a bunch of people in the process.
My 'biggest' fear is that people will find out my second biggest fear.
Which is ? Come on spill the beans, say the truth what's your fear in life ? That's if you want to say that, of course. That's up to your choice.
Come on spill the beans, say the truth what's your fear in life ?
That people won't understand my sense of humour. You played into that beautifully

My fear is sometimes by reading on this board, seeing the many half-baked ideas/suggestion that are been posted by those one-time posters. The biggest fear is the new people posting things in here, what's in their little tiny bit of brains ? That is very dreadful, when it comes to thinking about it. Believing that a person could make popcorn with cell-phone(cell-phone doesn't emit that much radiation) and posting it like many times again and again, without seeing an old thread that was posted minutes ago that is a little bit on the bottom of the page.

I'm scared of spiders and my genes.
I'm afraid of spiders because I watched the movie Arachnophobia late one night. The next morning I got up and a spider that looked exactly like the ones in the movie took over my kitchen. I screamed my head off. That was when I was younger. To this day if I see a spider I immediately freeze up and can't breathe. My roommates laugh at me and pull pranks on me with fake spiders, which look like real things if you wake up in the middle of the night, which has me in a constant state of anxiety, paranoia and insomnia. Needless to say, I'm going to get new roommates.... I guess that files me as a misanthrope
I'm afraid of my genes because I have all sorts of cancer, cardiovascular problems, diabetes, and psychological problems on both sides of my family...

ok this might sound stupid....but here it goes. Ive never really narrowed my biggest fear down to just one thing!!! But i have to say the things i fear most are -Snakes -Frogs -Clowns -Abandoned Refrigerators I know they all sound stupid...but shivers are sent down my spine whenever i see them..and for the first to mention them!!! Snkaes, i have all ways feared! I dont really know why, but I h8 them! Frogs, i used to be ok with, then the neihborhood boys started chaseing me with them...trying to make me kiss it! Ever sence i cant stand them!!! Clowns, when i was a little kid a clown popped a ballon in my face, and also its unhealthy to smile that much! Abandoned Refrigerators, i can still smell the day of when we cleaned out my grandpas refrigerator, with meat in it that hadent refrigated for almost 2 months!!!! That was a fun day!
So summing it all up, my fears have come from thing in my past that have made me uncomfortable!!! I cant stand any of those things today, i freaked out earlier when i saw a frog on the porch!!! lol~~~

I don't know if I'm 'afraid' of depending on other people but I have a serious trust issue, yeah.
As for actual 'fears' - I'm not afraid of death, I'm ready to go any time (I am, however afraid of prolonged death or a torturous one - drowning etc, I'd like it to be fast) but I'm afraid of wasps.

Fear is a state of mind, learn to control your mind and you will have no fear, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" Even the most tribe instinkes is to fear death, Death is a part of life just as sleeping and eating, don't let a fear keep you from enjoing life other wise you will become a prisoner of you own fears ( or mind ) I am afraid of Snakes, But I dont let that stop me from enjoing the outdoors, I have come to terms with them with a few well placed shot guns. Just last week I found a snake skin in the attic yes attic ( Im told they go there in the winter) so now I have to put a shot gun in the attic. See over comming a fear is easy, just find the antidote for your fear. if your fear is: Death-live healthly Other People- Dont rely on other people Falling-Dont fly Drowning-learn to swin Dark Places-install a light Ghost- buy a cross pendant Needles- ask then to cut you instead Spiders- always have on a good shoe for stomping Being trapped- carry a knife, I do Being alone- buy a cat/dog or have children etc. Like I said Fear is truly a state of mind but it doesn't hurt to "always be Prepaired".(boy scout)

Weird thing about the opening message.
I'm a strong swimmer (at least, I've been on the swim team for almost 3 years), yet I have strong fears of both drowning and deep/murky water. I guess that knowing I can swim makes me feel safer.
yet I have strong fears of both drowning and deep/murky water. I guess that knowing I can swim makes me feel safer.
For me, when I was a bit younger I had fear of swimming on ocean and small swimming pools because of the fear of drowning on that because of my little knowledge of being a swimmer. But with the right classes/instructor when I was a kid I surpassed that fear after taking those classes becoming the best top swimmer on my class. And the fear of the murky waters totally understand, around the areas of lakes and rivers people all over have that kind of fear because they don't know what hides underneath. I hear on the news that countless of people around FL state gets bitten or eaten away by alligators from lakes because of people not fearing to swim on dark, dirty waters.

If knowledge is power than why is it that the older we get the more we fear? Babies do not have fear why? because they don't know to be fearful of things. The more we are informed of the volient out comes of out actions the more fears/ safties we put in place to protect ourselves. therefore not knowing of a THING the less likely we would fear it. Media- has made us fearful of almost everything in the world even our neighbors. Kill the TV ( not sports center there ok) lol
