my friend showed me one time that by holding his car remote against his chin and open his mouth while pressing the remote unlock/lock button it will boost its range.
i blamed it on random stuff like walls, stealframed concrete walls etc.

but by just asking G i found this:

is it true and if, why?!

I have done this... it totally works. I have had it double, even triple the range of my 2007 VW remote.

Yes, I have also had this work and was interested to find out why.

What is strange that it does not work as well if you don't open your mouth, but you will still increase (or focus) the range of the signal somehow. I have tried it with different cars and in many different locations and I still can't convince my wife that it actually works. Can you all prove her wrong?

(no braces or fillings were involved!)
