The myth is about a family from Romania who tried to kill a pig but ended up blowing it to pieces.It is supposed to have happened back when it was a communist country (approx 1970-1980).
The family bought a pig to eat during the Christmas holidays. Because they lived in a flat they couldn't kill him traditionally so they tried to gas him. They put the pig in the kitchen, turned on the gas and closed all the windows. After the pig died they opened the windows and were careful not to turn on the lights or do anything that might blow them up.
After the room was gas free they had to burn the pigs hair off, but when they tried, because the pig had his lungs full with gas , he exploded. There is a recent Romanian movie that tells stories about the communist era.This is one of them.
