Calebini, there are already dozens, if not hundreds, of threads on this. The Mythbusters even busted it, but it didn't get on the air. You can probably still find a link to the video, though, on the Mythbusters Home page.

In short, the frequencies are all wrong for this to work. The microphone on the cell phone detects audible sounds and cannot pick up the RF signal your car remote transmits, nor can the speaker on the other phone broadcast it.

Here; results of using the Find button:

Maybe the guys've already done this but after the 'talking on cell phone is as bad as driving drunk' finding, I hear lotsa people say, 'yeah, but I've got a Blue Tooth.' Does it matter? Is it the act of holding a cell phone that lowers driving ability, or is it the act of talking?

Does talking to someone in the passenger seat have an effect on your driving? if not than how could talking to someone on a blue tooth? I think it has more to do with trying to find that certain name or putting in the phone number or texting that causes the wrecks not the talking part.

Yes. Anything which distracts you mentally or physically from the task of driving has a negative affect on driving performance. That includes radios, passengers, thinking about your day, etc.

Here is a cell phone myth:

Does texting a lot make you talk in chatspeak in real life?

What scares the bejeezers out of me is that it does. There are people starting to say 'oh em gee!' instead of 'oh my god/gosh' and 'rofl!' (which seems to rhyme with waffle) instead of simply laughing. That, my friends is scary.
