Your cousin is a liar, and not a very good one. Nothing you eat or drink will help you beat the test. He apparantly thinks thinks that by DRINKING blood, it is somehow going to go straight into his bloodstream and dilute the blood already there. Total nonsense; had he actually done such a thing (which I don't believe for a moment) his body would process it like any other liquid he had drunk. The fact that it's blood is irrelevant.

The only way he could have beaten the breathalyzer was if he had changed his whole bloodsupply after drinking...

i think alot of people dont understand how a breathalizer works. when you drink alcohol gets into your blood stream{ that much everyone knows} and circulates in your body. the ethyl [or whatever it is they call it] is released as your blood reaches your lunges and is exhaled as a means of filtering it out. this displaces the is what the breathalizers measue when you breath into them and there is no way your gonna beat on, short of tryign to lie as to why your blowing anything on the test. the best you could do is if you know youve only had one MAYBE two beers is swish with some mouthwash so you have that smell and when you blow, you could use that as an aliby. technicly you didnt beat the test.. but you do avoid the ticket.. maybe..

Its very important to get the alcohol out of your mouth. If you have left over alcohol in you mouth it will throw the test higher. So eating and or drinking water can help. Most cops won't let you do this because they know that.

He got pulled over by a cop, but he wasn't driving. How does that work? Either you're not driving and the cop doesn't waste time testing you or you are driving and the cop does test you. What, was he running down the middle of the road and the police told him to run on the right side of the road?

And perhaps I should mention that blood that was withdrawn two days beforehand is completely useless. When I worked in a a hemo-lab, you never let the blood sit unseparated for more than a few hours. After that you threw it away and drew another sample.

No. Alcohol is in the bloodstream, not the mouth. Using mouthwash will cause a high false result, as seen on the show, but they will simply retest you after a false result.

The only way to beat the breathalyser, apart from not drinking and driving, is using activated carbon to mess with the chemistry it utilizes. Hospitals use activated carbon to neutralize ingested poisons for the same reason. However, even IF you beat the breathalyser, if the police suspect you`ve been drinking, they can take you to the station and have you take a blood test, which is even harder to beat. Therefore, if you drink and drive, YOU WILL GET CAUGHT AND YOU WILL BE ARRESTED, SO DON`T DO IT!

Doesn't matter if he got pulled over or not, or under what circumstances he was tested.

Drinking blood will NOT affect your BAC. As has been stated before, your body will process it just like any think else you eat or drink.

Assuming you're telling the truth and not just making up a story as a way to ask your question (as many often do), then your cousin is full of it; this never actually happened and he's having a joke at your expense.
