At a Doctor Who fan club meeting, they mentioned that years upcoming barbecue and mentioned that this year would NOT contain the same "festivities" as last year did. In trying to light the charcoals somebody thought it would be a good idea to use gasoline. The head of the fan club was in the kitchen on the other side of the house - a three story victorian. he heard a WHOOSHING sound, felt the entire house shake and turned around just in time to see through the window at the end of the hallway, as he described it "a twenty foot wide fireball rising from the back yard" His later descriptions (as well as others who were present when it happened)say it was definitely a "ball" not a column like in the grease fire episode. Is it indeed possible to have put enough gasoline on a standard round charcoal grill from the eighties (when this actually happened) to produce a fireball of that size without any injuries?
