Hay just wondering if if anyone could answer the question Do Dogs Really Have Clean Mouth? Now I know it has been said they they are the most cleanest mouth but is that really true if they are eating things like cat poop, dead animals, other animals poop, licking themselves (you get what I mean), and eating their own poop.
It would be great if someone could tell me, or even but it on the show!
Thanks!

I don't care what anyone, even the Mythbusters, say on this one. I'm not letting any dogs tongue near me that has been wrapped around its own feces.

Already tested on the show. The name of the episode was “Chinese Invasion Alarm”; the myth was done as a sub-myth to “The Five Second Rule”.
Bacterial cultures were taken from Adam’s mouth and from a dog’s mouth and compared. After being left to incubate, the one from Adam grew more than the one from the dog. They deemed it “plausible” rather than confirmed, because bacterial growth is just one metric of cleanliness, and because they didn’t know that the bacteria in the dog’s mouth were necessarily the same as Adam’s – they could have been more potent.
