Is anyone else having problems finding the ingredients for these dishes? I made the beef chow mein and was able to find the black bean sauce but couldn't find the noodles that he was talking about. So I just bought some regular japanese noodles and cooked them in water for a little bit first. Then for the egg rolls, I can't find the wrappers. I can find spring roll wrappers but they are much thinner and harder to work with. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Where are you guys finding your items? Thanks for the help! LOVE the show!!!!

It took me a few trips to the grocery store, but I did find the egg roll wraps in the refrigerator section at the end of my produce area - kind of in the "organic" or "whole food area. The brand I got had a green colored label. As far as the noodles go, I am still experimenting. I did find soft chinese noodles, but they were chewy. The best option I have come up with so far is to use Ramen noodles (the cook fast with minimal effort).... but I would still like to know what kind Sam uses

YAY! I found them! I went to my local Asian food shop and found both the egg roll wrappers and the noodles. I tried making the egg rolls with spring roll wrappers (they are thin and you have to soak them in water to work with them) and they did not turn out well at all. So of course, after spending the last two-three weeks searching for these ingredients in every grocery store possibly, I finally get them at the Asian store and then about 30 minutes later...I find them at Target!!!! I thought "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!" LOL! Anyway, I found both the wrappers and the noodles at my Super-Target. They are located in the produce section right next to the Tofu and organic things. Oh well, now I know! Can't wait to get started!

Made the egg roles for the first time tonight. The filling was great, but I wasn't too impressed with the wrap. Gonna let the wifey try next time. It took about 20 minutes @ 350. Parts of the wrap were chewy-tough, and others were nice n crispy. Perhaps cuz I used stoneware? I also tried regular bagged slaw in one batch, and brocolli slaw (which actually has some nutrients in it) in another. I liked both. The regular slaw fried up real nicely. I think I might try a combo of the two next time for even more texture.
