This is a trainiing exercise held every year at Nellis AFB in Nevada. The exercise has fighter planes and pilots and their ground crews from all over the world flying in mock combat with Red Squad, 16 of the world's best F-16 pilots. The British RAF pilots were flying Harriers. What can I say? |

I've heard it ascribed to the RAF Harrier, the USAF Stealth fighter, the French Mirage, etc. One version had the cops sending the Air Force a ticket, and the Air Force replying that because the fighter had an automatic countermeasures system built into it, the cops were lucky they weren't shot at with a missile. All make believe, of course. It's on snopes.com as well. |
