and no they will not stop a bullet. However they do help from a number of other things that can get in your eyes while shooting.

I shot some once with a legal limit 177 ir rifle firing promethus ammo<ap>
stopped it dead, bent a dent in em though.
wouldnt like to try with anything more than 12ftlb though

keep in mind that the bullet has at least 200ft/lb of energy. your head weighs about 10#... while your safety glasses lens might survive the impact, unbroken, YOU won't.
