Im not sure if this is already up or not, but what about placing two cannons in front of one another (touching). Including mortars. This goes along with the fusing of bullets, but with canon balls.

This is a longstanding method of destroying artillery to prevent it from falling into the hands of the enemy. It works - to destroy one or both cannon.
