I once saw this clip from an action flick (don't remember the name) where the damsel in distress picks up an Uzi, gets frightened, and accidentally drops it down a set of stairs, and the gun starts an automatic fire, killing every bad guy in the room. Will an Uzi really fire if dropped on its butt?

I'm pretty sure that a gun can discharge a single round if dropped but not the clip. just my hypotheses

if it has a hair pin trigger it may be possible to get off one shot but not multiple
