Steel Bar throw it on an abandoned roof outside let it get nice and rusted and it will become useless as evidence.

Death by .50 cal myths. It's slow. It's painful. It's certain. And there are WAY too many assailants for any of them to be convicted.

It's posts like this that worry me. Why would someone be seeking advice on which weapon is ideal for murder?

The ideal weapon would be the one, that is undetectable that passes unseen, One that could be dismantle without arousing suspicion.

Murder by numbers, 1, 2, 3, it's as easy to learn as your a, b, c's,

Ice, definitely. My stepdad and I figured it out. 1) you can't determine the entry-wound. 2) it melts. there's no weapon.

No weapon. No crime.

You do realise people have been convicted of murder fairly regularly without any murder weapon being found.

If you have shot and killed someone and then disposed of the gun in such a way as it will never be found or used as evidence against you...there has still been a crime and there will most likely still be enough evidence to convict you...it may just take time and technology.

To say No weapon. No crime...is simply silly.

There is no perfect murder weapon. Don't you watch Forensic Files or The Investigators? There is always evidence left behind. The weapon can be completely irrelevant.

Any "perfect crime" in which the perpetrator never gets caught is pure coincidence.

I don't know that this as true, as the forensic TV shows rarely reflect reality. Where there is no obvious suspect or motive, the murderer is rarely caught, as police don't want to spend unlimited resources on a case unless it is either high-profile or there are obvious leads. This is especially true in smaller areas where the forensic sources are limited.

NY Times reports that 62% of all murders are "cleared" -- presumed solved or otherwise closed. (Only about 50% were solved within one year.) PoliceOne.com shows much less for Chicago, that only 36% of all murders were solved for 2006.

Shows like CSI, Cold Case, etc. always solve their cases, but that is far from reality. (Even O.J. is out looking on every golf course for the killer of his ex-wife!)

i cant believe no one got this one right. it is the ak-47 it is so effective some believe it kills by itself. ( just joking of course )

in all seriousness it is my opinion that if one were to murder another, that a long range rifle would be the superior weapon. on the other hand for killing (not murder and there is a difference ) a suppressed handgun would be superior, for the mere fact that one could defend them self and family (if applicable) without disturbing the peace.

DISCLAIMER : this post is for entertainment purposes only, i may or may not believe what was said in this post to be true and i strongly advise against murdering anyone.

Patience. If you wait long enough he/she is gonna die. Then you've gotten what you wanted and God has to take the blame.

The perfect weapon for killing someone is anything that makes them perfectly dead. If you mean how do you commit a perfect murder, the weapon is only one of many possible things that can link a perpetrator to a victim.

So at best, you've got roughly a 1 in 3 chance of getting caught. That's not great odds.
