1965 Mustang convertible. I only owned it for 5 years or so, an have spent the last 20 kicking myself for selling it.

A car is a convenience to get you from point A to point B, in comfort, and out of the weather. That's all. The car I had the longest, 16 years, was a Mazda 323 hatchback. Comfort, out of the weather, and enough room inside for my stuff. Wore it out... the dealer gave me $25 for it.

2 Favs, first was a mgb gt, It was my bosses car, a 6 cyl MG hatchback thing, incredible car to drive as I used it on occasion, but could not come up with the money at the time and he traded it in. I ended up with a 68 cougar xr7 and I will buy another some day, hideaway headlights, sequential flashers totally cool car. I did not appreciate it at the time as it had rust and brake issues and pulled the engine to put into a ranchero and sold it to the junkyard

Just one favorite? I could never choose just one. Here are several favorites. Yes, I do love pre-war classics. 1937 Delahaye 135M with body by Figoni & Falaschi. Really, pretty much any car with a body by this coachbuilder. 1937 Talbot-Lago T150-C-SS. Again, body by Figoni & Falaschi 1937 Delage D8-120 S Pourtout Aero Coupe. (Body by Pourtout) 1932 Duesenberg SJ (Supercharged model J) Bohman Coupe, a.k.a. the "Mudd Coupe" named for its owner, Dr. Seeley Mudd. This car was rebodied by Dr. Mudd. The photo here is modern. The car was modified during restoration. It originally had a Buick grille and the fabric-covered body was dark green. 1966-1972 Lamborghini Miura. LOTS of images here. IMHO, the most beautiful post-war car, period. These are just a few off the top of my head. I love cars of all types.

Of cars I've owned and driven, I loved my 5-speed '88 Stanza. Sure, it's just a boring sedan, but I used to have a great time beating on that car... it was a great toy and surprisingly quick and I drove it into the ground. If someone was going to hand me keys, I wouldn't turn down most supercars... but for some reason I've always coveted Lotus Esprits. Even the first-gen's were nice, but the Sport 350 would be a sweet ride.

If you're asking fantasy cars, I'd ask for a Ferrari 250LM, Ford GT40, Porsche 917, Porsche 904, '67 Toyota 2000 GT, Jaguar XK220, Chevron B-16, Lancia Stratos, '70 Hemi 'Cuda convertible and a '57 Nomad.

Oh, so we are only allowed to post if we have an expensive car? Isn't that a bit elitist? We have a 2006 dodge Dakota Quad Cab and love it. I would love to have a Tesla Roadster.

I love most super cars but honestly who ever actually gets a Buggati Veyron or Koeniggsegg CCXR? I love attainable cars like the Dodge Viper or the new Challenger. But with gas so expensive in the States (particularly California) I think they're going to go the way of the dinosaurs.

The new Lamborghini 2008 model "Reventon", now that car I would love to drive it; Engine(s):6.5 L V12; accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the same time as the Murciélago LP640 (3.3 seconds). Even thought for some people the high gas prices at the pump it might not be that good idea to drive that car daily or even on the weekends.

Favorite car -- kind of broad topic to some degree. Of the cars that I have owned -- my current, although it is an older car -- a '92 Dodge Dynasty. My other cars -- 74 VW Bug, 79 Fiesta, 84 Escort, and 87 Tempo all where okay. Then again I am not too much into cars. I look at a car as being a machine, and can appreciate it as the machine that it is, and the work that went into the design. I also like the aerodynamics of certain cars, and the design. I could for the most part careless on how fast it can go, but the beauty of the machine itself.
