This is quite similar to "Movie Quotes". The first person writes a part of a song text (length doesn't matter) and the next person guesses what song it is. I'll start

A stifling surge, shooting through all my veins.
Extreme apprehension, Suddenly I'm insane

That's from "Panic Attack".

Here's an easy one:

One Tin Soldier Rides Away by Bette Midler.

Here's another easy one:
"It seems as though, I've lived my life on the bad side of the moon."

Bette Midler ? LOL!!

Yours is April Wine, Bad side of the Moon...
it might be tougher if the songs' title isn't in the quote. Wink

Suitable for this site...

"Me debunk an American myth ?"

No... The song "One Tin Soldier Rides Away (the legend of Billy Jack) was first recorded by (Canadian band)"The Original Caste" in 1969 and then by "Coven", the latter being the more popular version. Even Joni Mitchell recorded it, as did "Me First", "The Gimme Gimmes", Joan Baez, and Peter, Paul and Mary.

I can't find any reference of "The divine miss M" singing this song but, even if she did, it wouldn't come to mind when I heard the title.

Mine still stands:

"Me debunk an American myth ?"

Too hard ?
May be obscure now but it was quite a hit in '86.
Some of you will get the 'inside' joke when the title is found, though the spelling is a little off. Wink

I'll add another line to get the game moving again:

"The only time that I loved I was brave,
I was out of breath every day"

I have a hunch except the lyrics are a little off, and since I can't check (because the lyrics you have here are not "Google-able"), I will make my guess anyway:

Sympathy For the Devil, The Rolling Stones.
