Anyone know what happened to Adam? He has a huge scar (and a discolored right eye) and other times isn't injured...

It's make-up. He's a Bond Villian. With scars(rubber ones) and a contact lens.
A search using Find will give you a thread on it where some folks explained it more. But it's make up.
