Tomorrow (or if you are reading this on 5/26, today) is Memorial Day. Even though it is the "unofficial" start of summer, let us remember the real reason why we celibate this day. The US Flag is flown at half-staff until noon, to remember those who have lost their lives in defense of our nation. We may not agree on the reasons that we have fought battles, but all of them deserve our respect. At noon the flag returns to full staff, and we honor the living. So when we are all out, enjoying the day off, and the holiday, stop and remember those who have fallen in battle. I never met my great uncle, but he was killed on the USS Indiana, BB-58 during WW 2, even though he was buried at sea, I will be putting a flag on his head stone tomorrow. And to those of you that are here on the boards that have served -- Thank-you.
