Why would you want to name the elements? They already have names.

"I think I'll name this one Gary, and this one Bill, and the shiny one I'll call Suzie"

What brought this to mind was watching a movie with my little girl, and the blue fish says "I shall call him Squishy, and He shall be mine and He shall be my Squishy" So, Dory has renamed Helium. Come to think of it, the last Helium balloon I bought for my kid was kind of Squishy.

Coincidence? I think not!

The Tom Leher song is awesome. My chem teacher showed the class last year. And like chowderhead46 I can sign it by heart... pretty pathetic I know, but I find it pretty catchy, plus, it's a good way to know all your elements (up until the song was made) Big Grin
