In this thread, the idea is to start with a quote, give several possible authors, only one of which is correct. Let's see some good quotes here!

"Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either"

Who said it?

A. Bill Clinton
B. Albert Einstein
C. Alexander Solzhenitzyn
D. Franklin D. Roosevelt
E. Ralph Nader

I'll post the correct answer tomorrow!

I will go for the answer "B" Albert Albert Einstein, because he sometimes comes with interesting quotes from life but in a scientific kind of way language.

Okay, yes, it was Albert Einstein. He seems to be quite a source of all kinds of wisdom.

(I thought it was a nice touch to put Bill Clinton among the choices!)

As for the quote from VenomScorpion, well said whoever said it! I'll go with Winston Churchill.

D.David Ortiz

Well, you said it wasn't Yogi Berra, and it was way before David Ortiz, that leaves Ty Cobb and The Babe. Since Ty Cobb didn't talk much, I'll go with Babe Ruth. But, I've been wrong before.

Gotta love Google. I just looked it up, and now I know the answer, but I won't say here until you do.

you got it correct, just-the-facts. It was Winston Churchill who said it.

As for the other quote from the baseball question, if mythmod wuldn't had said the correct answer, I wouldn't had guess it. Sorry to say, I'm not much of a baseball know-it-all not very much of a fan of it.

Are you asking who DeGaulle is, or is that your guess? (No, it wasn't DeGaulle)

But, here's another one (I really like this one):

"If you are not ready to die for it, take the word "Freedom" out of your vocabulary"

Who said it?

A. Fidel Castro
B. Malcolm X
C. Karl Marx
D. Patrick Henry
E. Gen. George Patton
F. George W. Bush

The last one that I fail to answer, is the letter "E": Nelson Mandela.

quote:
ou are not ready to die for it, take the word "Freedom" out of your vocabulary"

I guess maybe letter "B" let's hope that I got it correct.

Well Anyways here is a new quote to people to guess,

" It is possible to fail in many ways... While to succeed is possible only in one way. "

A) Adolph Hitler.
B) Jimmy Carter
C) Barack Obama
D) Aristotle.

Very good venomscorpion! Correct on both guesses!

As for your quote, I would guess "C", Barack Obama. (The statement may be factually incorrect, though. Success can take many forms, even if it is unintended)
