I won't say for sure, but would guess it was "C", Ronald Reagan. (Martha Stewart? Is this for real?)
Here's one for you:
won't say for sure, but would guess it was "C", Ronald Reagan.
Wrong there, try to do it again.
"The Church says the Earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church."
A: Galileo. I know this for sure because I read about it, his troubles with the church teachings and plus read it on the dan brown novels.

The correct answer is Magellan. Galileo's dispute with the church concerned heliocentrism.

I've heard the quote and I agree completely! But, I don't honestly remember who said it. The name Adams rings some bells so, I'm going with Douglas Adams.
I have an earlier quote that didn't get a response. Anyone care to try.
Regarding:
"Wherein the cub-drawn bear would couch: The lion and the belly-pinched wolf Keep their furs dry," Well done McMeister the answer was Shakespeare. If anyone cares, Richard Henry Dana Jr. also used the quote in his book 'Two Years Before the Mast'.

I don't sure of who might had said it but I will take a guess here on this quote. Between C, D or E one of those might be the correct answer there.
Here another new quote, that probably a lot of people(* maybe all) had heard of it in sometime years ago or recently. This one is pretty easy one.
"Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned."
A: Robert Stevenson B: William Shakespeare C: Eliot Spitzer D: William Concreve E: Thomas Paine

Yes, of course, anytime.

Well, the quote certainly sound Shakespearian, but I suspect that might be too easy. However, the other names are eighteenth and nineteenth century, which is (I believe) too recent for the quote, which was around before their time. So, I'll go with Shakespeare.
Here's an oldie:
"One must now apologise for any success in business as if it were a violation of the moral law, so that today it is worse to prosper than to be a criminal."
Was it:
A. Isocrates B. Da Vinci C. Machiavelli D. Calvin Coolidge E. J. P. Morgan

E: J. P. Morgan. That's the guy who could had said it, since he was US financier (1837-1913) born on Apr 17.

Your knowledge of JP morgan is accurate, but he is not the author of this gem.

You know, I thought "just-the-fact" that he was the person who could had said it, it fitted perfectly in my head. That's why I put my answer point-blank without giving it too much thought because to me, he was the correct answer to the quote.
I will give it another try, Letter D. Let's see if I got it this time.

Sorry, no. My source attributes this quote to Isocrates, although a diligent google search gives no verification of it. I just love old books, that's where I got it from!

So just-the-facts you must be a big reader then, have like a huge library at home. For me I like to read, but it depends on what the book is about. What kinds of books do you like ?
Another new quote, that it's one of my favorite ones of all times.
"If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them."
A: Jack Handey B: Julius Caesar C: Jimmy Carter D: Ban Ki-Moon E: Paul Thomas Mann
