I read lots of things, especially historical stuff. Plus some stephen King and John Grisham for fun. But I donate most of my books to the library.

Yes, it was Jack Handey. You pretty good at this kinds of quoting game. You must read a tons of books to actually know who is the author of some of my quotes that used around here.

Very interesting quotation! It's one I've never heard before. As to who authored it, I'm stuck between Jack Kennedy and Richard Nixon, as they are the smartest of the people listed above. If I had to choose, I'd say it was Kennedy, as he had a bit stronger social conscience than Nixon. It also seems to fit with other things Kennedy has said.

Keep them coming, I think this is fun and interesting!

On Both of the quotes you got it correctly, the first quote it was: William Concreve and the second one was: Ulysses S. Grant.

Yeah, I also like this quote very much. We look today the world, a lot of bad people with evil influence trying to end freedom it makes a lot of people think of why we(U.S) fight. Anyways IT was ronald reagan who said that famous quote.

Thanks MicMeister that quote centainly made my day. I agree with it completely.

I was busy working on my novel. I've started to 'string' together plot points and write some first drafts on various chapters to see how it all fits. After all, no matter how fantastic the story is, it must be 'real' for the reader.

So you are like a dan brown mystery/thriller novel writer ? I didn't take you to be a book writer, and what's the main story of the book that you had spent the majority of the days writing ?. I guess that pretty soon, we will see it on the shelves around bookstores.

This was a hard one. The answer is D: Andre Malraux (1950).

I've written novels but never a children's book.
My friends talked me into it. It's a story about a group of children who, after having been stranded on an island, discover a ship and repair her to sail their way home. It's during this journey that their true adventure takes place as they struggle to work and survive together. It's a story filled with mystery, magic, and heartfelt wonder.
I'm taking the summer to write it. So far, it's proving to be a good story. It just comes down to whether or not I can write a book for kids. The rules are, of course, different as to how graphic and emotional the content can be.
