If you have a question for the moderator (that would be me... mythmod) by all means ask away!
I won't answer physics questions or anything else that can be answered by either searching the forums or google/askjeeves.
Because I read 100's of posts a day, if you're asking a question about a specific post that has been edited or removed, email me with details at mythmod@gmail.com.
I hope that by being open and accessible we can all make this a better board!
Hi. I'm new and I just created a post on a myth idea I had. However, as soon as I hit "post" it said that I had used 'trigger words.' I am wondering what these words are, or at least what sort of words should not be used. None of my words were inappropriate, so I am wondering what was wrong with it. I am sure other people have encountered this issue as well. Could you please help me understand this?
I have some unusual applications for home cleaning chemicals, but I dont want to just post them.....there not expicit.....I dont want any one to read them and try them at home. Results could (probably) be very deadly. Anny advice???
Mythmod, every now and then I write a reply and hit post and it all disappears into the ether somewhere. Then I'll rewrite the reply and hit post and a message will appear saying that I've created a duplicate post, yet none of it appears on the intended thread until sometime the next day. What happens to my post in the meantime???
The trigger words achieve nothing but irritation of the forum members. I do not believe there is any valid reason for their existence as they do not stop the use of the alternative versions of words.
B@ll F@iry Nut$
Are clearly not words which should be triggers.

I have been watching mythbusters a lot recently, and noticed an incredible song used as background music in several episodes. I have looked all over the internet to see if anyone else has commented on it, and I haven't found anything.
The songs is a piece on the piano, and I heard it in the Who Gets Wetter episode after Adam and Jamie did their first walks through the ran (*About 25 minutes into the episode), and in several other episodes as well. Is there any way I could find the name of the song?
The music is written specifically for the show and isn't available for purchase - yet. I love the intro music and I'm trying to get them to put SOMETHING out - there's a lot of great sounds on the show.
Mythmod I was wondering if I could make a request for a new Board section. A lot of people come on here hoping for a place that we could talk about science and science related topics. Not really myths, but since busting myths relies one basic science a lot of people end up here. So if there was a section we could that in, it would be a great addition.
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but....
My son noticed tonight that when everyone is being introduced at the beginning of the show you leave out the most important member of the cast, Buster. Without him so many of your myths could not be tested. We think it is about time he receives his due credit.
