Pity MM can't deputise some of the 'older' and more sensible members to help her out. I don't mean more Mods as such, rather members who could take some time to keep an eye on part of the board and report posts and deal with such minor matters as telling new posters to use find. This would also solve the 'who gave you the right to tell me what to do?' replies. The answer would be 'The Moderators'.

Who would you suggest as good candiates for the board cybermortis? In my opinion it should be people who have been here for more than a year and haven't got in trouble.

I would think Mythmod has a mental list of any members she feels could do this. Whoever hits the short list should be people who have been around for a while, so they know the board well enough to notice myths that have been posted before. People who have never been in trouble, and maybe most importantly people who can diplomatically point out that something has been posted before/is not suitable/breaks the board rules ect without giving offence.

Hi Mythmod. I didn't want to make a whole thread out of this and I don't even know if you can fix it.

The puzzles on the main page of the Mythbusters fansite are a bit annoying. What I mean is that everytime you touch a piece of the puzzle the page reloads with another banner ad and it does it over and over every single time you click on a piece.

It becomes extremely distracting and sometimes causes the page to error out in the middle of a puzzle.

I like the puzzles for a time killer and really hate that I can't enjoy them very much because of that.

Now, I know that Disco has to advertise to keep this site going, but is there any way to change the puzzles to Flash or something where they don't refresh the banner ad everytime the window is clicked?

Once again, I don't even know if you have the power to do anything about this, but if you do, I would appreciate your looking into it when you are able.

The buddies list and the PM system are turned off, this goes for all Discovery boards. In fact the only features that are not turned off are the ability to see what a member has posted and the ability to post yourself. Everything else was disabled to prevent misuse.

When they reference emails in the show are they referring to this board or is there another way to contact them?

You are not gonna take a little bit of break and enjoy the fireworks in the public areas that those events happens ?. In my town there even a huge parade of people coming in dress in customs(like old 17th/18th century clothings) displaying the american flag with old single-shot rifles and weapons firing at the air. And last one of the things on the fourth of july that can't go missing the amazing Fireworks displays on the end of the show.

Just post again in that thread. If you can't seem to find it use Find, or if you posted there before left click on your name and pick the option 'View recent posts' from the list that comes up.

My apologies for putting my question in here the wrong way. Don't mean to (miff) you. I tried to post a new discussion on the oogie boogie board and don't know why it disapeared. The topic was world to end in august. The topic is about the french swiss particle accelerater and the possiblity of it causing a worldwide cataclysm. Some people are suing to stop that experiment and I was interested in the opinions of others here, And the myth aspect of weather or not the thing will cause a worldwide issue. Is this sort of subject ok here?
