Yeah, they checked the site regularly because it's needed of them to get the myth for the show just like mythmod said. But it takes a sharp eye to really detect a good myth for their show, so you better not hold your breath hoping that your myth get picked by the MB because that rarely happens.
It doesn't rarely happen. They've had two episodes that were COMPLETELY show segments based on message board suggestions! Let's not even mention PoaT....
Now, it helps if you dig a bit and come up with some information on your idea. A good post with lots of information is going to catch the eyes of those who read a lot quicker than one or two lines that scream DO THIS!!!

Mythmod, I'm sure you've been asked this question before, but do you actually work with the Mythbusters? (dumb question, I know) What kind of work do you do? Do we (the viewers) ever see you on the show?

She does not work with the MB, she lives in Detroit. Which should also answer the question about her being on the show.
MM's day job is classified. She could tell you, but then she'd have to track you down and kill you. (Sending 2000,0000 volts of electricity into the computers of errant board members is only a hobby. She doesn't get paid for that...)
Her other job is moderating the Mythbusters forum, here in fact. That is why she is known as *Drum roll, dramatic voice* THE MYTHMOD.....
Had anyone had suffered from problems connecting with this forums ?
For the past several days, I been having a bit of problems with the connection showing a message error, try a little bit later. That was the main reason of my absence on this board, due to this little trouble with my logging problems.
If this kind of things happens again, do you think that I should contact the moderators ? Or try to fix bugs on my computer ?
Haven't had any problems logging-in for a couple of months now. A while back there was a problem with the ads causing the board formatting to go berserk, but I think that's been fixed for some time now.
There is other things that I will try to do(to see if that fixes everything), I will also have to download those free softwares that automatically deletes those damaging cookies on my computer. It looks while I was gone a lot of things had been going around in here on the forums(new post and lots of replies), I will have to do some catching-up to do.
Mythmod, I have I question (obviosly) I just recently bought the Mythbusters season 3 DVD set. It has a lot of selected episodes from season three, so I thougt if there was any way of being able to make a DVD. Discovery could let us pick about 20 of our favorite episodes for a cretain price. I thnk that would be pretty cool.
I assume you mean a 'fans best of' DvD, like there are fan pick DvD's of Star Trek?
Mythmod moderates this board, she has nothing what-so-ever to do with merchandising Mythbusters products. Those decisions are made by people in Discovery.
There is, btw, a thread somewhere in the water cooler about MB merchandise we'd like to see. Maybe you should post the idea there.
cookie - A word of caution. Posts that mention the Lady with Red Hair along with comments about her level of attractiveness or sexual innuendo, no matter what the intent behind such comments, tend not to be viewed very well by the mods. The reason The Lady with the Red Hair's name became a trigger word was because of problems with people posting such things. This is also the reason why The Lady with the Red Hair no longer posts on the message boards.
OK i accept your point, but one last thing before I leave you alone. curiousfergy post to which I was responding "Everyone is missing the biggest question... Can Carie fit into a Size 2 -- 2 piece bikini... they should start at size 16 and work their way down the chart. That episode would be a best seller" is ok because he/she is too thick to spell correctly or is deliberately avoiding queue. Either way this only gets pulled if someome reports the queue
