What? Um, you sure you're asking a question to the MODERATOR of the message board? As the post right above yours states, I'm not on the show. I live in Metro Detroit - that's in Michigan - almost 3000 miles away from San Francisco where they shoot the show.

I think he is merely hoping someone will bring to the attention of the mythbusters the fact that he considers them biased towards petrol motors and against electrical motors. He is obviously a fan of electrical Motors, and wants them used more in the show.

ccc333 -- I'd suggest they use petrol motors more because thats what they have most of the time, and it is cheaper than replacing them to just use what they have.

@MythMod: I'll email you next time if I have another thread problem. I should have read the first post. I just got frustrated with my post not appearing for no apparent reason. I think it would be nice if a post wasn't approved a email was sent to the poster with a reason why. Also where is the documentation about the known login issues? My problem is that I used an email with a plus character in it and while the old system was happy with it, the new login forum won't let me login saying it's invalid. It's very frustrating as it's a very simple thing to fix, just remove the block on the character. It shouldn't be a known issue documented somewhere, it shouldn't have even existed in the first place.

ITs just like she says, if you take the time to read the rules of this message board and applied, you could save people time. Rules are made to guide society, thats the same thing with laws.

This is my first time ever posting something. How do i get permission to edit my post ? When i try to see what permissions i have i am unable to log on to the "permission browser". I get " gateway timeout " each time. I only have a few simple things to correct.

The edit function has been curtailed - there is a timer. You have approximately two minutes to edit your posts. After that they're set in stone.

If you want to edit a post because you have new information, you 're always free to email me a link, your screen name, and what you would like to add. I will go in and copy/paste your additions. I won't delete something because people disagreeing with you, though - that's something you'll just have to take on the chin.

I had thought that I didn't want to read 45 pages to find information on the the moderation. Since I wasn't happy with my post not appearing I wanted to figure out as quickly as possible what happened and I didn't think to read the first post.

I got a question relating to the show, what happen to keri`s legs, it seems that she had a accident, causing an painful injury ?

Since they mencioned it, last wednesday on the myth of the neck tie( with sand). I just wonder what happen to the poor keri.

Lest pray that she recovers soon enough.

Kari had a small accident and hurt her knee, she was on crutches but she's doing well. There is a thread on it in the Water Cooler.

I read on a post written by you (on the ouch moment), that you mencioned that the whole MB cast used to write posts in this message board on the beginning of the show on discovery Channel.

Was that true ? What happened to that?

I got a proposal to you mythmod since you probably have more daily contact with the MB; so you could present it to the Mythbusters, What about if these christmas season they could at least open a post or chat room so we could share myth or ideas and especially christmas with the Mythbusters ?

I would really appreciated if you could do anything about that nice proposal to the mthbusters.

Yes, the cast used to post here. They have gotten very busy. There are other things that happened that don't need to be rehashed, but suffice it to say - they do read the boards but there are only 24 hours in a day and they *do* have lives.

Hi. I'm new here. I just wanted to make a few suggestions on the past shows. I recently saw one about the exploding lighter and they tested it on a car's dashboard and it didn't explode. I would have tested a damaged lighter not a new one. Carrying a lighter in your jeans pocket may crack the plastic. I had a lighter explode while I was driving and I had noticed it was cracked before.It wasn't in direct sunlight but the car was very hot.

And another thing, I saw one a long time ago where they tested the myth about the lover that jumped on the bed and had his head severed by a ceiling fan. I would have tested the pig's spine going into the industrial fan first instead of the trachea taking the first blow because the first blow will definetely be the strongest one...I doubt it would have severed the spine but it was worth a shot.

Why is it that any post with K*ri's name in it has to be approved because it contains a "trigger" word? This happens almost always in this situation. Is her name itself a trigger word? I can understand that it may be & why, but is it just a safety net so to speak?

Her name is a trigger word because there are a lot of men in this world who cannot, will not, or do not know how to acknowledge a woman's beauty without being vulgar, lude and crude.

I've been on this board since 2005 when her name first became a trigger word and when she stopped posting here.

The comments that she was getting on this board were something that, if said to your mom/sister/girlfriend/wife/daughter, would prompt you to buy a plane ticket for the simple reason of finding and harming the person that said it.

I myself am male, but I cannot understand how someone would think those types of comments were appropriate in the least or proper in the least.

-So, because of the disgusting minds of a few disgusting people, all mentions of her name are moderated to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

I kind of thought that to be the case, and fully understand why.

Thanks mythmod, for updating me on the injury on keri leg, If you talked to her, tell her that one of the mythbusters fans send, " my best regards to her, take more care of her leg so she could recover faster" .

And also to be careful especially doing dangerous stunts done at the show, that how the injuries , bone fractures, starts.
