I have a fake tree as I'm allergic to pine sap. Which is weird because I love the smell and it does nothing to me, but getting the sap on my skin or getting pricked with dry pine needles, ugh, Benedryl time!

poor you mythmod, that you cant a christmas tree at your house, for the allergy fault.

The only allegy that for me, its like the worst ever, its getting stuffy nose. I suffer of the worst kind of nose allegy, I had to use often afrin a lot.
Does anyone have any recommendation for something better than afrin or benadryl ?

MythMod, I have the same weird contact allergy to pine. The smell doesn't bother me, but touching the boughs (as one does when decorating a Christmas tree) will cause my skin to redden and puff up, and the itching is intolerable. At that point, only Benadryl will do....

I have tried using scented candles to try to replace the scent of fresh pine, but most of them remind me more of pine cleaner.

Try a different kind of fresh pine boughs. I usually have a wreath of the fresh stuff in the house for the smell, and I do my version of a biohazard suit when it's time to get it out of the house - since I don't decorate it, it's easier to just "bag and tag" if ya know what I mean.

Yeah, some of those "pine" scented candles smell nasty. The ones that come close for me are the PartyLite brand, Yankee Candle Co does too. I've actually got so frustrated with candle scents I learned to make my own candles so I can get JUST the right smell. Mmmm... I make a great Warm Vanilla Sugar candle.

Perhaps I can answer that for you Americanman, and save MythMod the trouble of dusting off her modstick (this question has been asked and answered MANY times in this - an other - threads; I'm pretty sure she's tired of answering it).....

In the other forums, they go for review if you use one of the trigger words (and no, you won't find a list of what they are).

Once MythMod has a chance to review your post, and assuming it passes the forum rules, she'll post it.

Mythmod, why is my favorite video game system poll something you need too check. I didn't use any trigger words and I used the find button and there wasn't any others like it.
