No way to know without actually asking everyone, or convincing Disco to share the registration stats (which is not likely to happen).

My guess, though?

Regular, longer-lasting members are primarily adults with ages anywhere from mid-20's on up.

Drive-by posters, or those that get angry and give up when asked to obey the rules (ie: "use the find button") tend to be kids & teens.

Who knows! I am a teen. Hey killick123 I really doubt you remember me but my oringinal screename was Train24. Anyway I agree with you on the subject of there is no way we will know how many people are kids or adults, unless you make a poll about it frostband.

It also seam to depend on the time of day. During the day (Day time for the US, atleast) the posters seam to be more knowledgeable. Or atleast that's when the regulars tend to visit the board. The regulars tend to be more adults, or smart and articulate teens and kids.

Night time tends to have more of the drive by posters. Judging from the typical conversation content and posting style, or lack thereof, they are kids or stupid adults.

Me, I'm in my late 20's.

I though that might be you when I saw the name. Welcome back!

BTW, my observations were VERY general; obviously there are exceptions on both sides (some young, intelligent, articulate regulars as well as idiotic, drive-by adults).

Oh, and I'm 42.

And even that is no guarantee. Kids will claim to be adults, because they think it makes them more authoritative. Even in anonymous polls people will often answer based on what they would LIKE to be, rather than on the truth.

Judging from the postings I see, my guess is that the majority of posters are under 21. Among first-time posters I would guess that more than 90% are under 18.

I'd say most of the guy's who have over 1000 post's are over 21. Most hit and run's are younger and some of the posters are smart kids and smart adults.

I would say that's probably close to the reality with a good grouping being kids under 13 who lied to get an account here.

Everyone thinks the mythmod is big and scary and is the guy who ruins the fun but the fact is he is just doing his or her job. Besides he or she can give good advice.
